Duties

• Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases, test scripts, and test plans for functional, performance, system, and user acceptance testing of software applications.
• Implement and maintain test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and scripting languages like Python or JavaScript to streamline testing processes.
• Conduct comprehensive testing of mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms, including device compatibility testing and mobile-specific performance assessments.
• Perform API testing for RESTful web services utilizing tools like Postman or SoapUI; analyze API responses to ensure data integrity and security.
• Analyze root causes of defects through debugging and data analysis skills; collaborate with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Participate in Agile software development cycles (Scrum/Kanban), contributing to requirements gathering, sprint planning, and release management.
• Utilize version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, SVN, or TFS for code management; support CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or Azure DevOps for automated build and deployment processes.
• Conduct load testing using LoadRunner or similar tools to evaluate system performance under stress; interpret results to optimize application scalability.
• Track defects using tools like HP ALM or Jira; ensure timely resolution and verify fixes through regression testing.
• Support quality assurance within SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) by reviewing test cases, executing QA tests across different environments (Windows, Linux), and documenting results clearly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in software quality assurance with a strong understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and test case design.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (or similar), along with scripting skills in Python or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks for Android and iOS platforms; knowledge of mobile application lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of APIs (RESTful/SOAP), database systems like MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or MongoDB; proficiency in SQL/PL-SQL for data analysis.
• Experience working within Agile (Scrum) or Waterfall development environments; comfortable with requirements gathering and business analysis processes.
• Technical expertise in version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Azure DevOps), and defect tracking tools such as Jira or HP ALM.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis; adept at debugging complex issues across multiple platforms.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like LoadRunner or similar; understanding of DevOps practices including release management and system integration.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams; ability to document test procedures clearly and comprehensively.
