Quality Engineer – Job Duties

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures.
• Monitor manufacturing and production processes to ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and evaluations of materials, components, and finished products.
• Investigate quality issues, defects, and customer complaints to determine root causes.
• Perform root-cause analysis and develop corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Create and maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, procedures, and records.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues.
• Assist with internal and external quality audits and ensure compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements.
• Track quality metrics and identify trends or areas for improvement.
• Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, rework, and production costs.
• Assist with supplier quality evaluations and investigate supplier-related quality issues.
• Support the development and implementation of inspection plans and testing methods.
• Ensure measurement and inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
• Train employees on quality procedures, inspection requirements, and quality standards.
• Prepare reports and communicate quality concerns and improvement recommendations to management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
