Quality Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure product quality as per customer and internal specifications.
• Handle Incoming, In-Process and Final Inspection activities.
• Prepare and maintain Inspection Reports, Control Plans, Check Sheets and Quality Records.
• Perform dimensional inspection using Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge and other measuring instruments.
• Ensure compliance with Drawing, GD&T, specifications and customer requirements.
• Identify and analyse quality issues using Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, Fishbone and CAPA.
• Coordinate with Production, Process Engineering and Toolroom teams for quality improvement.
• Handle NCR, Rejection, Rework and Customer Complaints and ensure corrective actions.
• Monitor PPM, rejection, rework and process capability (Cp/Cpk).
• Support implementation of 5S, Kaizen and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Maintain quality documentation and support internal/customer audits.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of machining/manufacturing processes.
• Good understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of CNC / VMC / HMC / VTL machining will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of 7 QC Tools, SPC, MSA and PPAP.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
