Quality Engineer

Position Overview:

The Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with applicable standards and customer requirements, and driving initiatives that improve product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, engineering, and production to identify, communicate, and resolve quality-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS), including all related policies, procedures, work instructions, and records
• Oversee corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes, including root cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions, and verification of effectiveness.
• Coordinate and lead external audits with customers, regulatory agencies, third-party certification organizations, and other external auditors
• Work closely with customer quality assurance personnel to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded and all applicable compliance requirements are satisfied
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective internal audit program; conduct internal audits and track resulting findings through resolution
• Train and support personnel on the Quality Management System, quality policies, procedures, and related operating requirements
• Oversee instrument and equipment calibration requirements, ensuring calibration activities are completed accurately and on schedule
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes, tools, methods, quality, productivity, and overall operational efficiency
• Serve as a communication bridge for quality issues between customers and internal engineering and production teams, ensuring concerns are clearly communicated, investigated, and resolved in a timely manner
• Develop, maintain, and utilize quality reports, metrics, and other analytical tools as needed to monitor performance, identify trends, and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain accurate and complete quality records and documentation in accordance with company procedures and applicable requirements
• Support other quality-related projects and initiatives as needed

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
• 2 years of engineering experience
• 1 year of experience working within a Quality Management System and with quality-related procedures and documentation
• Quality experience with NADCAP, ISO9001 and AS9100

Preferred Experience:

• Welding experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
