Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities:

The QA Engineer will be required to attend or ensure that customer requirement are fulfilled, as stated in the Customer's Supplier Quality Manual. He/she will also be required to troubleshoot quality issue occur at customer plants, as and when required or to troubleshoot any warranty claim issue at the customers service centre.

 The QA Engineer will also be required to meet and discuss with customers on quality issue relating to any new requirement of the customer & to handle all preparations to pass the customer’s audit.

 In addition to the above, the QA Engineer will be required to:

1. Manage supplier quality activities, including supplier audits, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
2. Investigate and resolve material and product quality issues, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up with suppliers and internal departments.
3. Handle customer quality matters, including customer complaints, RMA processing, warranty claims, and on-site troubleshooting when required.
4. Monitor the effectiveness of wire harness product quality, inspection processes, and compliance with customer-specific quality requirements.
5. Prepare and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), and coordinate supplier and customer audits, including documentation and follow-up actions.
6. Develop, maintain, and update quality-related documents, including material specifications, work instructions, quality procedures, and inspection records.
7. Ensure QC inspectors comply with established work instructions and inspection standards, and support Document Control Centre (DCC) activities related to quality documentation.
8. Communicate quality performance, issues, and improvement progress to customers, suppliers, and relevant internal departments.
9. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Quality Manager from time to time.andidate at the interview.

Requirements:

To undertake all the above, the successful candidate will need to have:-

• A Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 2 to 5 year(s) of working experience in wire harness, wire, cables or related field.
• Must be able to read, write and speak good English & Bahasa Malaysia.
• Computer literate, good communication, good interpersonal skills, familiar with ISO 9001 system, control plan, APQP, PPAP, MSA and general quality management system.
• Able to lead a team of QA supervisor and technician to perform routine job.
• Able to prepare professional technical report.
• Able to coordinate and lead the team in meeting product certification and fulfill customer requirement standard.
• Knowledge in handling calibration equipment and IPC 620 standard will be added advantage.
