Quality Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Quality Control Department: Quality Control / Quality Assurance Qualification: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Experience: Relevant experience preferred; freshers with strong technical knowledge may also apply. Hiring Time Frame: Immediate / As soon as possible

Job Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspection and quality checks of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Accurately measure component dimensions using Vernier Caliper, Outside Micrometer, Height Gauge, Measuring Tape, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Understand engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances, and measurement procedures.
• Maintain inspection reports, measurement records, and quality documentation.
• Identify dimensional deviations, defects, and non-conformities and report them to the concerned department.
• Apply technical knowledge of casting, forging, machining, and manufacturing processes.
• Use mathematical concepts such as geometry, trigonometry, percentages, ratios, and profit-and-loss calculations for inspection, analysis, and production-related activities.
• Handle and supervise shop-floor workers/labour, coordinate daily activities, and ensure quality standards are followed. Coordinate with production and other departments to resolve quality-related issues.
• Support continuous improvement, rejection reduction, and process efficiency.

Required Skills

• Strong practical knowledge of measurement instruments and dimensional inspection. Good understanding of Mechanical Engineering subjects, particularly casting, forging, machining, and manufacturing technology.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Good numerical, mathematical, and analytical skills. Knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation is preferred.
• Good communication, problem-solving, teamwork, and labour-handling skills. Responsible, disciplined, and capable of working on the shop floor.
