Quality Engineer

We are seeking a proactive and driven Quality Engineer to support new project development, supplier quality management, and ongoing manufacturing quality improvement. The candidate must have strong knowledge of quality systems, customer audits, and plastic injection processes, with the ability to lead QC activities and ensure compliance with international standards. The candidate must also be a fast learner, capable of quickly master and understanding NMG products, including metal parts, membrane switches, PCBA, and wire harnesses.

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality System & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001 / ISO 14001/ IATF 16949).
• Maintain and improve Quality Management System (QMS).
• Lead internal and external audits, including customer audits.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and ensure closure effectiveness.

2. New Project Quality (NPI)

• Participate in new project development and qualification.
• Lead quality planning activities including PQP (Product Quality Planning).
• Prepare and review PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documents.
• Support risk analysis (FMEA) and ensure proper control plans are established.

3. Supplier Quality Management

• Conduct supplier audits and assessments.
• Drive supplier quality improvement and performance monitoring.
• Manage supplier corrective actions and ensure timely closure.

4. Process & Manufacturing Quality

• Strong understanding of plastic injection molding process and related quality risks.
• Monitor and improve process capability using SPC (Statistical Process Control).
• Perform GR&R (Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility) studies.
• Support production in resolving quality issues and reducing defects.

5. Quality Control Leadership

• Lead and guide QC team on inspection standards and quality requirements.
• Ensure proper incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality control.
• Establish inspection standards, SOPs, and work instructions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field).

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing quality (plastic injection preferred).

• Strong knowledge of:

  • ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.)
  • Customer audit handling
  • PPAP, PQP/APQP, FMEA, Control Plan
  • SPC, GR&R, MSA tools

• Experience in supplier audit and quality management.

• Good problem-solving skills (8D, Root Cause Analysis, etc.).

• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

• Able to work under pressure, support urgent projects, and commit extra effort when needed.

• Fast learner with a proactive and positive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in multinational company or OEM/EMS environment.
• Familiar with customer-specific requirements (e.g., automotive or electronics).
• Certified internal auditor (ISO).
