What they need

You’re not just checking boxes — you’re raising the bar!

Location: Ehrenberg, AZ or Corsicana, TX

Your Impact – Big and Bold!

As a Quality Engineer, you will take the lead in driving the Morgan Quality System across both factory and corporate levels. Using Lean methodologies, you’ll spearhead quality improvements that elevate our manufacturing standards.

Your mission includes identifying and embedding best practices, streamlined processes, and standardized work into Morgan’s quality and manufacturing strategy — ensuring consistent, top-tier quality results every time.

What a Day in Your Life Looks Like:

  • Partner with Customers: Understand expectations and support the execution of complex or high-volume orders.
  • Champion Lean Practices: Implement Morgan’s lean strategies, including workforce engagement, straight-through flow, single-piece flow, and cycle time variation reduction.
  • Drive Quality Excellence: Maintain quality standards for raw materials and finished products while developing and refining testing procedures.
  • Lead & Develop Teams: Guide, mentor, and train quality team members to strengthen performance and ensure consistent shop-floor practices.
  • Resolve Quality Challenges: Lead cross-plant problem-solving initiatives, investigate warranty claims, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze Quality Performance: Monitor quality systems, document test results, and communicate performance insights to leadership.
  • Strengthen Quality Standards: Develop, update, pilot, and validate quality standards and standard work across facilities.
  • Conduct Quality Audits: Perform internal audits, address findings, and communicate internal and customer audit results to stakeholders.
  • Ensure Plant Consistency: Partner with Morgan facilities to maintain consistent quality standards across multiple production builds.
  • Support Operational Goals: Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support team and business objectives.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred; Weld Engineering certification a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years in quality engineering and 1–2 years of team leadership experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading blueprints and engineering drawings and using quality measurement tools.
  • Lean Manufacturing: Hands-on experience applying Lean principles to drive continuous improvement.
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong organizational, leadership, interpersonal, and written communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Travel: Ability to travel occasionally to Morgan facilities for training and Kaizen events.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Discrete manufacturing or truck body manufacturing experience a plus

You Must Be Able to

  • Step into a dynamic office role where you’ll stay engaged—seated for eight hours with the freedom to sit or stand as you work. Move around comfortably on level surfaces, reaching high and low above shoulder heights and below the waist to organize files and materials with care. Safe lifting skills are key as you occasionally handle files or computer printouts.
  • Work in an active manufacturing plant environment where hands-on tasks keep you engaged! This role requires working in a non-climate controlled setting, with regular talking and listening. You’ll frequently stand, walk, and use your hands to handle, feel, and reach as you complete your daily duties with precision
