Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and driven Quality Engineer II to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our software products through rigorous automation and manual testing methodologies. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in software quality assurance, is hands-on with Python and JavaScript automation, and demonstrates exceptional problem-solving abilities. You will work with minimal guidance to execute acceptance tests, investigate automation failures, manage the bug lifecycle, and collaborate closely with development and automation engineers to deliver robust software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation scripts primarily using Python and JavaScript.
2. Investigate automation test failures, perform root-cause analysis, and take appropriate corrective actions with minimal guidance.
3. Understand, review, and execute acceptance tests on release candidate software based on existing test plans.
4. File detailed, comprehensive issue reports for failing tests and collaborate with automation and development engineers to verify fixes.
5. Review product specifications and test plans, identify coverage gaps, and supplement them with new, effective test cases.
6. Manage the end-to-end bug lifecycle, ensuring accurate bug writing, tracking, and timely resolution using bug tracking systems.
7. Adapt quickly to changing product requirements, team dynamics, and organizational goals while maintaining clear verbal and written communication.

Educational Qualifications

1. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

Must-Have Skills

1. 3 to 6 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and testing.
2. Hands-on programming and test automation experience with Python (preferred) and JavaScript (as a strong secondary preference).
3. Solid experience with desktop testing, along with familiarity with bug tracking systems and the bug lifecycle.
4. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal guidance.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. High adaptability to dynamic requirements and fast-paced team environments.

Good-to-Have Skills

1. Web and/or mobile application testing experience.
2. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
3. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment workflows.
