Quality Engineer (iGaming)

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Engineer (QE) to ensure the quality, reliability, and stability of our web-based platforms and services. The Quality Engineer will work closely with Developers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Infrastructure, and other technical teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The role is responsible for validating new features, identifying defects and risks, improving testing processes, and ensuring releases meet defined quality standards before production deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate frontend, backend, API, database, and system integration functionality.
• Test RESTful APIs and system integrations using tools such as Postman or equivalent.
• Perform database validation using SQL and validate data accuracy, integrity, and consistency.
• Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
• Participate in release planning and deployment readiness reviews.
• Identify suitable test cases for automation to improve testing efficiency and develop automated test scripts where applicable.
• Work closely with Developers to investigate and troubleshoot issues.
• Participate in root cause analysis for recurring or critical production issues.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Software QA, Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or related roles.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience in web and mobile application testing.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or equivalent.
• Basic to intermediate SQL knowledge for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with defect and project management tools such as Jira.
• Experience in functional, integration, regression, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
