Quality Engineer (Injection Moulding)

About the Role / Main purpose

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Quality Engineer to support quality activities across our injection moulding production environment.

The role will involve supporting quality processes, inspections, documentation and continuous improvement activities, working closely with our Quality, Engineering and Production teams.

We are looking for someone with a relevant technical or engineering background, ideally with previous experience in a manufacturing or quality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support quality documentation for new projects, including quality plans, inspection and test plans, and sample approval records.
• Assist with inspections of moulded components, tooling, and first‑off samples (visual checks, dimensional checks).
• Record non‑conformances and support root‑cause investigations.
• Monitor production quality data, scrap levels, and customer complaint trends.
• Maintain quality records and help ensure compliance with internal standards and customer specifications.

Skills & Qualifications

• · Engineering or technical qualification (degree or vocational).
• · Understanding of basic quality principles and manufacturing processes.
• · Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• · Confident using Microsoft Office; experience with measurement tools would be advantageous.
• · Previous experience in injection moulding, manufacturing or a project environment is desirable.
• · Good communication skills and the ability to work across departments.

Pay: £28,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
