Quality Engineer / Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Engineer / Manager to join our team in Mentor, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and improving quality assurance processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading quality initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures including ITAR/CMMC compliance.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes.
• Manage quality audits, both internal and external, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and supply chain to drive continuous improvement.
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Oversee supplier quality management and conduct supplier audits as needed.
• Train and mentor quality team members and other staff on quality standards and best practices.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications and regulatory standards before release.
• Manage documentation related to quality processes, inspections, and certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or quality management roles.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC), Six Sigma, or Lean methodologies preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Proficient with quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment

This position is based in Mentor, OH, and may require occasional travel to supplier or customer sites.
