Quality Engineer (Manual Testing & Automation)

Overview: We are looking for a Quality Engineer who is passionate about delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality software. This role will focus primarily on manual testing, exploratory testing, business workflow validation, and defect prevention, while also contributing to test automation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Execute manual testing for web applications, APIs, integrations, and business workflows
• Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test execution reports
• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and release testing
• Validate business requirements and customer-critical workflows
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
• Verify data accuracy and business rules using MySQL and AWS RDS
• Test integrations with third-party systems and APIs
• Build and maintain automated test cases for key user journeys using Playwright or similar tools
• Contribute to quality checks and automated testing within GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Assist in validating authentication, authorization, input validation, and security-related requirements
• Investigate issues using application logs, monitoring tools, and database queries
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to improve product quality

Qualifications:

• 24 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or quality engineering
• Strong manual testing and exploratory testing skills
• Experience with API testing and backend validation
• Experience with MySQL and database testing
• Experience using GitLab for source control and collaboration
• Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and release validation processes
• Exposure to Playwright or other test automation frameworks
• Experience testing web applications and REST APIs
• Familiarity with PHP applications, preferably CodeIgniter
• Understanding of AWS RDS and application monitoring concepts
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
