Quality Engineer (QMS)

About the role

Vekan Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Quality Engineer (Quality Management System) to join our team in Port Klang, Selangor. In this full-time position, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with applicable standards and supporting the quality and reliability of our manufacturing processes and products. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and work closely with various departments to uphold the company’s quality standards.

What you'll be doing

• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements.
• Lead and coordinate internal audits; follow up on audit findings and verify corrective actions.
• Coordinate internal audits, track findings, and verify closure of corrective actions.
• Manage document control activities, including DCC forms, revision tracking, and distribution of controlled documents.
• Support the preparation and readiness for third-party, customer (e.g., Tesla, Rivian), and internal audits.
• Facilitate management review meetings and ensure timely submission of QMS KPIs and audit schedules
• Provide QMS and DCC-related training to departments and ensure controlled documents are used at the shop floor.
• Support other quality-related tasks in production and customer-related activities as required.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in QMS or document control roles in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and quality documentation systems.
• Certified Internal Auditor or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience with Document Change Control (DCC) systems and QMS software tools.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge in ERP/QMS platforms is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
