Quality Engineer (Sheet Metal)

Job Responsibilities :

• Assist the Quality Manager in leading the quality department.
• Ensure implementation of company-wide quality policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with other departments (production, supply chain).
• Ensure regulatory and certification compliance (ISO, GMP, etc.).
• Develop and implement quality control processes and standards.
• Monitor production or service processes to ensure compliance.
• Perform root cause analysis for defects or failures.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and testing.
• Handle customer complaints and corrective actions (CAPA).
• Ensure compliance with standards like ISO 9001.
• Develop, implement and maintain effective quality management systems (QMS) and quality assurance (QA) programs to meet industry standards and customer requirements.
• Oversee quality control procedures, including inspection, testing, and documentation, to identify and address any quality issues.
• Analyses quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to continuously improve quality performance.
• Train and mentor production teams on quality control practices and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with relevant quality-related regulations, standards, and customer requirements
• Participate in the development and implementation of quality-related policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Lead the continuous improvement of the company's quality management systems and processes.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality management or quality assurance role, preferably in the manufacturing in metal industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in quality assurance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Required languages: Effectively communicate with clients in Mandarin, English, Malay
• Familiar with sheet metal related standards and on-site manufacturing processes, experience in precision sheet metal design is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, quality control principles, and quality improvement methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, 13485)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address quality-related issues
• Proficient in the use of quality management software and data analysis tools
• Ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
