Qualification: BSc in Civil Engineering or a relevant Engineering discipline aligned with the nature of the project
Minimum Overall Experience: 15 years
Minimum Relevant Experience: 10 years
Minimum Experience in Quality Functions on Projects: 7 years
Certification: IRCA ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification or equivalent
UPDA/MMUP B is Mandatory

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Quality Engineer to support and manage project quality activities, ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards, project specifications, and established quality management systems. The successful candidate will possess extensive professional experience, strong technical expertise, and the ability to independently handle complex assignments while coordinating specialized activities and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and maintain project quality management procedures in accordance with approved quality plans, project specifications, and applicable standards.
• Manage and coordinate specialized quality activities and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Conduct quality inspections, audits, and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to project requirements and ISO 9001 standards.
• Review and verify quality documentation, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, inspection reports, and other technical submissions.
• Identify, document, and follow up on non-conformities, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
• Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of quality assurance and quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical expertise and specialist support for complex quality-related issues and project requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate quality records, prepare reports, and ensure proper documentation of inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend measures to enhance project quality performance.
• Ensure that all quality activities comply with applicable contractual, regulatory, and project-specific requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant Engineering discipline appropriate to the nature of the project.
• Minimum 15 years of overall professional experience.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in similar projects.
• At least 7 years of experience in quality functions on projects.
• Valid UPDA/MMUP registration or classification is mandatory.
• IRCA ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification or an equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated ability to independently perform complex professional assignments requiring specialized technical knowledge and expertise.
• Proven experience in coordinating quality activities, technical disciplines, and project teams.
