Job Summary

Manage Incoming Quality Control activities for Deep Freezer and Water Cooler product lines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality inspection and approval of 1,300+ incoming components sourced from various suppliers.
• Develop and implement robust incoming inspection plans based on criticality, supplier performance, and product requirements.
• Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives to reduce incoming defects and line rejections.
• Conduct supplier process audits and evaluate supplier manufacturing capabilities.
• Monitor and analyze supplier PPM, rejection trends, and corrective action effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance of incoming materials with BIS, BEE, RoHS, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Establish stringent quality controls for key components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, thermostats, electrical parts, sheet metal parts, plastic components, and insulation materials.
• Lead containment actions for supplier quality issues and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with SQA, RD, Production, Purchase, and Vendor Development teams for quality improvement projects.
• Drive supplier qualification, supplier rating, and vendor approval processes.
• Implement risk-based inspection methods and quality assurance systems to strengthen incoming quality control.
• Ensure calibration and effective utilization of inspection instruments and testing equipment.
• Maintain IQC documentation, inspection records, traceability, and compliance with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, Why-Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, and FMEA methodologies.
• Support new product development and localization projects through component quality validation.
• Lead a team of IQC engineers and inspectors to achieve quality objectives and operational excellence with periodic training.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect reduction, cost optimization, and process enhancement.
