Quality Inspector

Position Summary The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that the products being produced meet quality standards and specifications. The inspector will review products and material, measure objects compared to their physical specifications, run quality test and identify defects. The inspector is also responsible to review supplier paperwork such as certifications to ensure they are compliant to Customer requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Essential Duties And Responsibilities Examine raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet specified criteria.

Perform visual inspections, measurements and various tests to identify defects or deviations from standards.

Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and non-conforming products.

Report defects to relevant personnel.

Communicate with production, engineering and management to provide feedback on quality issues and collaborate on solutions.

Train production workers on quality standards and inspection techniques.

Conduct final inspection to ensure products meet all quality standards.

Cross train in production to fill in gaps

Maintain a clean, organized inspection area

Qualifications Required:

Highschool diploma or equivalent

1 year of quality inspector experience in a manufacturing environment minimum

Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, drop gauges, and measuring microscope

Able to read drawings/specifications and be able to interpret requirements

Basic computer skills such as data entry

Ability to classify defects based on failure criteria

Audit production lines to ensure manufacturing process is stable

Preferred Experience with GD&T a plus

Experience in automated manufacturing and CNC Machining.

Knowledge/ Skills Attention to detail

Verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
