Quality Inspector

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 10 years of total experience.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in renovation and structural-strengthening projects.

Required specialist experience:

• Measurement of repair works where final quantities are determined after concrete breakout.
• Concrete repair measured by area, depth or volume.
• Reinforcement replacement and additional steel measured by weight.
• Concrete jacketing measured by number, area or volume.
• Shotcrete, micro-concrete, CFRP and structural-steel strengthening.
• Temporary propping, demolition, disposal and reinstatement.
• Evaluation of unforeseen and concealed conditions.Key responsibilities:
• Review the contract, BOQ, drawings, specifications and commercial conditions.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for all strengthening and renovation activities.
• Establish joint-measurement procedures before covering completed works.
• Maintain records of actual breakout areas, repair depths and reinforcement replacement.
• Prepare monthly payment applications with measurements and supporting photographs.
• Prepare variations for additional deterioration or quantities discovered during execution.
• Develop new rates with labour, materials, equipment, wastage and overhead breakdowns.
• Measure and certify subcontractor works.
• Maintain variation, payment, claim and subcontractor registers.
• Monitor project cost, committed cost and forecast cost to complete.
• Support claims for access restrictions, phased work, shutdowns and delayed approvals.
• Prepare the final account and commercial closeout documentation.

Pay: QAR4,000.00 - QAR5,000.00 per month
