Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of metrology, inspection equipment and processes, blueprint reading, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and quality standards including AS9100. Experience in the aerospace industry is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts and assemblies

Interpret and inspect to engineering drawings and specifications using GD&T

Use standard inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMMs

Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards

Document inspection results and assist in maintaining quality records

Support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department

Communicate effectively with machinists, engineers, and management regarding quality issues

Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and drawings

Solid understanding of GD&T principles

Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards

Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing or a related industry preferred

High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Dependable and punctual – regular attendance is required

Preferred Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in a quality inspection role

Familiarity with CMM programming or operation

Experience working in an AS9100-certified environment
