Quality Inspector

Job Summary

Sailesh Metal Corporation is looking for a Quality Inspector responsible for inspecting steel and metal products, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect MS, SS, alloy steel, carbon steel, plates, sheets, bars, rods, pipes, tubes, flanges, fittings, and forgings.
• Verify material grade, dimensions, thickness, length, weight, quantity, and surface condition.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspection using vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, measuring tapes, and weighing equipment.
• Verify MTC, test certificates, heat numbers, and material traceability.
• Identify and report defects, deviations, and non-conforming materials.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and NCRs.
• Coordinate with warehouse, sales, suppliers, and operations teams on quality-related matters.
• Conduct pre-dispatch inspection to ensure correct material and documentation.
• Support customer complaints, CAPA, 5S, and root-cause analysis activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in the steel/metal industry.
• Good knowledge of steel grades, dimensions, tolerances, and inspection procedures.
• Ability to understand technical specifications and drawings.
• Knowledge of MTC verification and material traceability.
• Basic knowledge of MS Excel and quality documentation.
