What they need
The Opportunity
Counterfeit components are a real risk in our industry. Our Quality Inspector is the person who makes sure none reach our customers.
NuLogic Group brings together four distinct businesses: Vital Electronics in the UK, Vital Dubai, VECTr and Nextron Solutions. Each business has its own purpose and personality, but they share the same ambition: to grow quickly, invest in good people and use technology to work smarter.
Vital Electronics supplies electronic components to customers around the world, many of them in quality-critical industries. As we grow, we are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join our inspection lab in Letchworth.
You will be trusted to make the call on what gets released, and you will have the chance to help shape how we inspect as the Group develops.
The Role:
You will inspect incoming and outgoing components, spot the signs of counterfeiting and keep the clear evidence our customers and auditors rely on. You will report to the Logistics Manager and work within our ISO 9001 and AS9120 quality systems. Hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30am to 4:00pm on Friday, with the option of an early 7:30am to 4:00pm pattern.
Inspection & counterfeit detection
- Inspect components under a stereo microscope against manufacturer datasheets and known-good references.
- Identify signs of counterfeiting such as remarking, resurfacing, blacktopping and refurbished leads.
- Carry out marking permanency and solvent tests in line with our procedures.
Goods in & out
- Check part numbers, quantities, packaging, labelling and moisture-sensitive handling.
- Verify certificates of conformance, traceability and ESD-safe packaging before parts are released.
Reporting & improvement
- Produce clear inspection reports with high-quality photographs as evidence.
- Raise non-conformances, quarantine suspect stock and escalate concerns promptly.
- Support audits and help improve our inspection procedures and reference library.
The Successful Applicant:
We are looking for an experienced inspector who is methodical, objective and confident speaking up when quality is at risk. Experience of counterfeit detection for aerospace, defence or medical supply chains would be a real advantage.
You will be someone who:
- Has proven experience inspecting electronic components in a distribution, manufacturing or test-house environment.
- Is confident with stereo microscopes and reading datasheets and package drawings.
- Has exceptional attention to detail and spots the smallest inconsistencies.
All applications must have a CV attached.
Pay: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Casual dress
- Company pension
- Discounted or free food

- Gym membership
- On-site parking
