Quality Inspector/Administrator

As a new role, this is a fantastic opportunity to join an established fastener manufacturer in West Bromwich. Your role will involve working in conjunction with and supporting our Logistics Manager and Production Manager. Reporting to our General Manager.

Duties:

Goods Inwards inspections to industry recognized ISO/DIN & BS Standards.

First Off & Final Inspections of products to various standards & specifications.

Generating 3.1 certificates, matching material and mill certificates for full traceability.

Completing AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.

Audits and Risk Assessments to ISO 9001.2015 management systems.

Investigating and responding to supplier and customer rejections. Visits to supplier and customer sites may be required as and when necessary.

Support continuous improvements.

Monitor calibration inspection recording of measuring equipment.

Issue new supplier questionnaires.

Skills:

Ability to multi task with a methodical approach.

Attention to detail is a must.

Ability to understand technical drawings and dimensional data.

Experience of operating a Keyence inspection machine would be advantageous but full training can be provided.

Excellent I.T. and communication skills - both written & verbal.

Team player with the ability to remain focused at all times.

Requirements:

A full current driving licence is essential.

A current Fork Lift Truck licence would be advantageous.

Fastener industry experience would also be a distinct advantage.

Hours:

Monday-Thursday 8.30am - 4.30 pm (1hr lunch)

Friday - 8.30am - 3pm (1/2hr lunch)

Holidays:

30 days per year, increasing to 32 days with continued service. (Including 8 bank holiday days).
