Quality Intern

MSI Express is a leading manufacturing and contract packaging partner trusted by top CPG brands, as well as emerging and private label brands.

Internship Details:

·       Duration: 10 weeks (Summer 2027)

·       Schedule: Monday – Friday; Approximately 8 hours per day/40 hours per week

·       Pay: $19.00/hour

·       Benefits: This role is not eligible for benefits

About the Role:

As a Quality Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Quality System Support: Assist the Quality team in maintaining food safety and quality standards across manufacturing operations.
• Inspection & Verification Activities: Participate in product inspections, audits, testing activities, and documentation reviews.
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze quality performance metrics and support corrective and preventive action initiatives.
• Root Cause Investigations: Assist in investigating customer complaints, process deviations, and non-conformances.
• Continuous Improvement Projects: Support projects focused on strengthening food safety, quality systems, and operational compliance.

What we look for in aQuality Intern**:**

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Interest in food safety, quality assurance, and manufacturing systems.
• Ability to analyze data and identify trends.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Currently enrolled in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related academic program.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Work is performed in both office and manufacturing plant environments.
• Frequent exposure to production areas with varying temperatures, noise levels, moving machinery, forklifts, and other industrial conditions.
• Must follow all safety requirements and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout manufacturing facilities.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated platforms as necessary.
• Must be able to occasionally bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and work around equipment during project activities.
• Frequent use of computers and standard office equipment.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Periodic travel may be required to other MSI Express locations and end-of-internship events.
