Responsibilities

Quality Assurance (QA)

• Establish and manage supplier quality systems, including evaluation, qualification, and monitoring of suppliers to ensure raw materials meet specified requirements.
• Conduct supplier audits and maintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL), ensuring ongoing compliance with quality standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement actions to enhance product quality, efficiency, and consistency.
• Develop and deliver training programs for employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Ensure effective control of quality documentation, records, and reports, and present key quality performance indicators to management.
• Plan, manage, and execute internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of all corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Develop and implement a quality risk management framework to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate quality risks throughout the product lifecycle.

Quality Control (QC)

• Oversee inspection and testing activities at all stages of manufacturing to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Supervise the operation of the in-house Quality Control and Metallurgy Laboratory, ensuring proper calibration, maintenance, and reliability of testing equipment.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of all testing and inspection procedures with applicable standards and customer requirements.
• Manage non-conforming products, including segregation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification.
• Ensure full compliance with customer specifications, particularly Saudi Aramco, EPC contractors, and other critical clients.
• Perform or supervise final inspections and product verification prior to shipment to confirm full compliance with contractual and quality requirements.
• Provide leadership and direction to the QA/QC team, ensuring competence, accountability, and high performance.
• Manage the QA/QC department budget, including expenditures related to staffing, laboratory equipment, calibration, training, audits, and certifications.
• Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters with customers, suppliers, inspectors, and regulatory authorities.
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Planning teams to integrate quality requirements across all stages of the product lifecycle.
• Oversee Metallurgy Laboratory activities, including testing methodologies, reporting, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation, efficiency, and proactive problem-solving.
• Ensure all QA/QC activities comply with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Generate, analyze, and present detailed reports on quality performance, audit results, non-conformances, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
• Undertake any other related responsibilities assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy Engineering discipline.

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, preferably within a manufacturing environment involving forged products and flanges.

• Standards Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 17025, ASTM, ASME

• Technical Skills: Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office; capable of preparing technical reports and quality documentation.

• Languages: Fluent in English read, write, and speak.

• Computer Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD for technical drawing, drafting, and design review.

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical, decision-making, and root cause analysis capabilities.
