Quality Lead Operator

Job Summary:

Responsible for performing quality control checks on plastic injection molded products to ensure they meet the required company standards for safety and quality. The Quality Lead Operator may also be required to maintain calibrated test equipment, prepare test data, and identify areas for quality control improvement. This is a 12 hour night shift position.

Principle Accountabilities:

· Responsible for conducting testing procedures during manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards.

· Perform visual inspection on all products and place non-conforming product on hold.

· Conduct inspection of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods, checking for quality and ensuring they meet necessary specifications.

· Monitor testing procedures and processes to ensure tests performed are completed according to item specifications, protocols and standard test methods.

· Interpret test results and compare them to the specifications and control limits in place while providing recommendations on the appropriateness of data.

· Complete documentation necessary for the support of testing procedures.

· Ensure equipment is calibrated, validated and maintained properly.

· Support and adhere to all system procedures and company policies/procedures.

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all safety regulations.

· Report all accidents or near misses.

· Adhere to all environmental and quality standards.

· Any other tasks that may be necessary to meet the production schedule in a safe and efficient manner.

Education/Experience:

· High school diploma or GED

· Minimum 2 years experience in quality assurance

· Superior eye for detail

· Basic computer, reading, and comprehension skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
