What they need
WE ARE HIRING
QUALITY MANAGEMENT REPRESENTATIVE (QMR)
Lead Quality. Strengthen Systems. Drive Operational Excellence.
SMC Integrated Farm Specialists, Inc. (SMC-IFSI)
A growing nationwide poultry and agricultural operations management organization
We are looking for an experienced, analytical, and influential Quality Management Representative (QMR) who can lead the effective implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of our Quality Management System (QMS) across our business operations.
This is an opportunity for a quality professional who wants to move beyond inspection and compliance—and become a strategic partner to Operations and Management in building a stronger, more disciplined, audit-ready, and customer-focused organization.
THE ROLE
As Quality Management Representative, you will provide leadership and governance over the organization’s QMS and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that quality standards are translated into consistent operational practices and measurable business results.
You will work closely with Top Management, Operations, Production, HR, HSSE, Engineering, Supply Chain, and client/principal representatives across our operating sites.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
QMS Leadership & Governance
* Lead the development, implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Company’s QMS.
* Ensure quality processes, policies, procedures, standards, and controls are effectively implemented across operations.
* Establish and monitor quality objectives, KPIs, and improvement plans.
* Ensure changes in processes, organization, or operations do not compromise QMS integrity.
Audit & Compliance Excellence
* Lead preparation and readiness for internal, external, client, regulatory, and certification audits.
* Manage audit findings, nonconformities, corrective and preventive actions, and closure monitoring.
* Conduct or oversee internal quality audits and process compliance reviews.
* Drive root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions address systemic issues—not merely symptoms.
Poultry & Food Operations Quality
* Partner with Operations in maintaining consistent quality and process discipline within poultry processing and related agricultural operations.
* Monitor quality risks across receiving, processing, cold-chain, storage, handling, sanitation, and related operational processes.
* Work with relevant technical teams on applicable GMP, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, product quality, and customer requirements.
Continuous Improvement
* Identify process gaps, recurring deviations, operational risks, and opportunities for improvement.
* Lead quality improvement projects using structured problem-solving and data-driven analysis.
* Translate audit findings and quality data into practical operational improvements.
* Promote a culture of prevention, accountability, and continual improvement.
Management Reporting
* Provide Top Management with regular reports on QMS performance, major quality risks, audit status, nonconformities, CAPA, and improvement initiatives.
* Present quality trends, risks, and recommendations during management reviews.
* Escalate significant quality and compliance risks requiring management intervention.
Stakeholder & Client Management
* Serve as the key quality systems liaison with relevant external parties, clients, auditors, and certification bodies.
* Promote awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.
* Build strong working relationships with site leaders and process owners to ensure quality ownership is embedded in daily operations.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or another relevant discipline.
* At least 5 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Management, Food Safety, QMS, or manufacturing operations.
* Preferably with 2–3 years in a supervisory, managerial, QMR, or equivalent leadership capacity.
* Strong practical experience in QMS implementation, internal auditing, CAPA, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
* Experience in food manufacturing, poultry processing, meat processing, agricultural processing, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
* Working knowledge of applicable ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
* Strong analytical, documentation, presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
* Willingness to conduct site visits and work with multiple operating locations nationwide.
HIGHLY VALUED
* Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor
* HACCP or GMP certification/training
* ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 exposure
* Experience with customer, third-party, regulatory, or certification audits
* Experience managing CAPA and recurring nonconformities
* Strong knowledge of process mapping, risk assessment, RCA, and continuous improvement tools
* Experience in multi-site operations
* Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis, and management reporting
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
You are not simply a quality inspector.
You are someone who can:
SEE THE RISK → FIND THE ROOT CAUSE → MOBILIZE THE PROCESS OWNER → DRIVE CORRECTIVE ACTION → MEASURE THE RESULT → PREVENT RECURRENCE
You are comfortable challenging processes respectfully, presenting facts to Management, influencing Operations, and standing firm when quality or food-safety risks require action.
You have the technical credibility, business maturity, communication skills, and leadership presence to influence both frontline teams and senior management.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
✓ Management-level exposure
Work directly with business and operational leaders on quality performance and improvement.
✓ Multi-site experience
Gain broad exposure across a nationwide poultry and agricultural operations environment.
✓ Career growth
Build a strong platform toward Quality Manager / Quality Head / QMS & Food Safety leadership roles.
✓ High-impact role
Your work directly influences operational discipline, customer satisfaction, audit performance, risk management, and business sustainability.
✓ Continuous learning
Exposure to audits, food safety, QMS, process improvement, regulatory requirements, and cross-functional business operations.
