The Quality Management Systems (QMS) Manager to lead quality management initiatives, improve operational processes, and ensure consistent implementation of quality standards across the organization.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Quality Management Systems, Business Process Management, internal auditing, and continuous improvement. This role involves working closely with different departments to strengthen operational efficiency, maintain compliance, and promote a culture of quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management & Compliance

• Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality documentation are properly maintained and implemented.
• Monitor compliance with quality standards, company policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Lead periodic reviews and updates of quality manuals, procedures, and process documentation.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

• Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, streamline workflows, and eliminate inefficiencies.
• Lead process mapping, workflow analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions based on audit findings, process reviews, and operational data.
• Monitor the effectiveness of process improvements and implemented quality initiatives.

Risk Management & Internal Auditing

• Identify operational risks and quality-related process gaps.
• Collaborate with department heads to develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to ensure continuous improvement.

Training & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Develop and conduct QMS orientation and quality awareness training programs.
• Guide employees and process owners on quality standards, documentation, and continuous improvement practices.
• Collaborate with Operations, HR, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, and Store Operations to ensure consistent implementation of quality standards.
• Support new business initiatives, store openings, and operational projects by integrating QMS requirements.

Team Leadership & Performance Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Management team.
• Establish departmental objectives aligned with organizational goals.
• Promote accountability, quality awareness, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering .
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in Quality Management, Process Excellence, or Business Process Management.
• At least 3 years of managerial or leadership experience .
• Experience in retail, distribution, construction materials, or home improvement industries is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Business Process Management (BPM), internal quality auditing, and risk management.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma .
• Experience in process mapping, documentation, standardization, and KPI development.
• Knowledge of Philippine regulatory and compliance requirements applicable to retail operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
• Willingness to work in Cebu City .
