Quality Manager

Job Responsibilities

Establish, implement, monitor, and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific quality requirements.

Develop, implement, and maintain quality control standards and inspection procedures for machining, sheet metal fabrication, surface treatment, assembly, and finished products.

Plan and lead internal quality audits, external audits, customer audits, and management review meetings to ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.

Monitor production quality performance, analyze quality data, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.

Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using quality tools such as 8D,5 Whys.

Manage supplier quality by conducting supplier evaluations, supplier audits, and quality performance reviews to ensure purchased materials and outsourced processes meet quality requirements.

Handle customer quality issues, complaints, returns, and corrective actions while maintaining effective communication to improve customer satisfaction.

Lead and develop the QA, QC, and QE teams by setting KPIs, coaching team members, and promoting a strong quality culture throughout the organization.

Coordinate cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, and Maintenance to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.

Organize quality-related training programs covering inspection standards, problem-solving methodologies, SPC, FMEA, MSA, Control Plan, and continuous improvement tools.

Ensure all inspection equipment and measuring instruments are properly calibrated and maintained to meet quality requirements.

Prepare and present quality performance reports, including KPI, defect trends, customer complaints, supplier performance, and continuous improvement progress to management.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in machining, sheet metal fabrication, metal manufacturing, or surface treatment industries, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Strong knowledge of machining processes (CNC Turning, CNC Milling), sheet metal fabrication, welding, surface treatment, and metal finishing processes.

Familiar with ISO 9001 Quality Management System. Experience with IATF 16949 or other customer-specific quality standards will be an added advantage.

Experienced in using precision measuring equipment such as CMM, height gauge, profile projector, caliper, micrometer, and other inspection instruments.

Familiar with ERP/MRP systems and quality data analysis software such as Minitab or equivalent.

Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional quality improvement initiatives.

Detail-oriented, quality-driven, and capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
