NXTDRV EV (PTY) LTD is an emerging South African electric-vehicle company focused on developing and establishing an EV manufacturing and technology platform in South Africa.

Quality, safety, reliability and continuous improvement will be fundamental to our approach to vehicle development and manufacturing.

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to establish and manage quality systems covering vehicle manufacturing, supplier quality, production processes, inspections and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement manufacturing quality procedures.
• Establish incoming, in-process and final inspection systems.
• Manage product and process non-conformances.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Monitor quality KPIs and prepare management reports.
• Support APQP, PPAP, PFMEA and Control Plan activities.
• Establish product and process traceability.
• Manage supplier-quality requirements.
• Support internal audits and continuous-improvement programmes.
• Work with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues.

Requirements

• Degree/diploma in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing or related field.
• 7+ years' quality-management experience.
• Manufacturing or automotive quality experience.
• Strong understanding of quality-management principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.

Advantageous

• IATF 16949 knowledge.
• ISO 9001 experience.
• APQP/PPAP experience.
• PFMEA and Control Plan experience.
• Automotive OEM/Tier-1 experience.
• Supplier-quality experience.
