Quality Manager

About the role:

We are seeking a meticulous and driven Quality Manager to lead our quality department at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bangkok. The Quality Manager will be the champion for all quality-related matters, responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS). This role is critical in ensuring that our optical fiber connectors and precision metal components consistently meet and exceed rigorous customer expectations and international standards, thereby upholding our company's reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• QMS & Compliance Leadership: Develop, implement, and maintain an ISO 9001-certified ISO14001, TL9000, etc, ensuring compliance with industry-specific standards. Ensure all processes, documentation, and practices throughout the organization adhere to the established QMS.

• End-to-End Quality Assurance: Define and enforce robust quality standards across all production stages (IQC, IPQC, OQA) for both optical fiber connectors and precision metal parts. Ensure adherence to specific standards such as IEC 61300-3-35, TIA568/TIA-455, Telcordia GR-326, and customer-specific requirements for metal parts.

• Supplier Quality Management: Oversee the supplier qualification process, including audits and performance monitoring. Collaborate with purchasing to manage supplier performance and drive corrective actions (SCARs) to ensure incoming material quality.

• Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving: Drive a culture of continuous improvement using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and core quality tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, etc). Lead systematic problem-solving efforts (8D, 5-Whys) to reduce defects, and enhance manufacturing efficiency. Analyze quality data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, report on performance, and pinpoint areas for systematic improvement.

• Customer Quality: Act as the primary quality liaison for customers, managing audits, feedback, and the complaint resolution process (RMA). Analyze customer satisfaction data to proactively identify and implement improvements.

• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the quality team (engineers, technicians, inspectors). Foster a skilled and motivated workforce through targeted training and performance management.

What we're looking for

Required:

1. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related) with 7-10 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.

2. Industry Experience: Direct experience in electronics, telecommunications, or precision metal fabrication.

3. Technical Expertise:

   • Expert-level knowledge of ISO 9001
   • Proven expertise with core quality tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D).
   • Direct experience with quality control for optical fiber components (e.g. insertion/return loss testing) and familiarity with IEC/TIA/ Telcordia standards.

4. Leadership: Proven leadership, communication, and analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.

5. Language: Fluency in both Thai and English (written and spoken).

Preferred:

• Hands-on experience with quality assurance in a precision metal fabrication environment.
• Familiarity with IATF16949
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
