Job Description – Quality Manager

Ingenious Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and results-driven **Quality Manager** to lead quality assurance and quality control operations across its steel fabrication and OEM manufacturing processes. The role involves establishing and implementing quality standards, managing inspection teams, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, and driving continuous improvement to deliver high-quality fabricated steel components and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all quality assurance and quality control activities across incoming materials, in-process manufacturing, and final product inspection.
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality procedures, inspection plans, and control processes to ensure compliance with customer specifications and applicable industry standards.
• Supervise, train, and guide the quality inspection team to maintain consistent inspection practices and performance.
• Review and interpret **mechanical drawings, technical specifications, tolerances, and quality requirements** to ensure product conformity.
• Oversee dimensional inspections, weld quality inspections, material verification, and final acceptance of fabricated components and assemblies.
• Ensure proper maintenance of inspection reports, test certificates, material traceability records, non-conformance reports, and quality documentation.
• Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate with design, production, planning, procurement, and dispatch teams to resolve quality concerns and ensure timely delivery of conforming products.
• Manage customer quality complaints, coordinate inspections and audits, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
• Establish and monitor quality performance indicators, identify recurring defects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and utilization of inspection instruments and measuring equipment.
• ·Support internal and external audits and ensure adherence to applicable quality management systems and customer requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 8 - 12 years of relevant experience in quality assurance and quality control, preferably in steel fabrication, OEM manufacturing, or the engineering industry.
• Proven experience in managing quality operations and leading an inspection or quality control team.
• Strong understanding of **fabrication processes, welding inspection, dimensional inspection, material specifications, and mechanical drawings**.
• Hands-on experience with inspection instruments, measurement techniques, inspection plans, and quality documentation.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and relevant industry standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively across departments and manage multiple quality requirements.
