Quality NDT Technician Level 2 Inspector

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Perform NDT inspections using applicable methods such as UT, MT, PT, RT and/or VT, as required.
• Interpret NDT procedures, engineering drawings, technical specifications and welding symbols.
• Identify defects, discontinuities and material irregularities.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records.
• Verify the calibration status and condition of NDT equipment before use.
• Ensure material identification, traceability and proper documentation.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Welding and Engineering teams to resolve inspection issues.
• Support customer inspections, third-party inspections and quality audits.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100D (where applicable), ASME, ASTM, AWS and relevant project specifications.
• Participate in corrective actions, non-conformance management and continuous improvement activities.
• Follow company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) requirements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Valid NDT Level II certification in relevant testing methods.
• 13 years of experience in NDT or Quality Inspection.
• Knowledge of applicable NDT standards and quality management requirements.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand welding symbols.
• Good inspection reporting, documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to fabrication, welding, pressure vessels, piping, structural fabrication, aerospace components or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with AS9100D and ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Experience supporting customer and third-party inspections.
• Willingness to work at site or project locations when required.
