Quality Nurse

Job Summary

The Quality Nurse will be responsible for assisting the Quality Director with the overall continuous quality improvement and medical home programs. In this role, the Quality Nurse will work with the providers, medical director, nurses/CMAs, and other care providers to deliver effective care to our patients and staff. In addition, the position requires this person to serve as a role model throughout the community to represent PHSC in a positive manner.

Qualifications

1. Unencumbered Louisiana Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse license with experience in both clinical and technology settings.

2. Position prefers someone with a background in health quality management and quality assurance/quality improvement with proficient skills in using Microsoft Office.

3. Ability to carry out assigned projects to their completion with minimal supervision.

4. Ability to develop and manage individual projects.

5. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form. Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, and external entities.

6. Must have excellent problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
