Quality Nurse

K.J. Somaiya Hospital & Research Centre, a 550-bedded medical college and hospital in Sion, Mumbai, is hiring a Quality Nurse for its Quality Department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor NABH standards across nursing and clinical areas

• Conduct regular internal audits, departmental rounds and patient safety rounds

• Collect, compile and analyse quality indicators and nursing-sensitive indicators

• Prepare and update SOPs, policies, manuals and quality documentation

• Monitor incident reporting, adverse events and near misses, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions

• Carry out root cause analysis and track closure of audit findings with concerned departments

• Monitor infection control practices, hand hygiene compliance and biomedical waste segregation

• Conduct staff training and awareness sessions on quality, patient safety and NABH requirements

• Coordinate patient satisfaction surveys and analyse feedback for improvement

• Support preparation for NABH assessments, mock drills and external audits

• Prepare monthly quality MIS and reports for management review

• Coordinate with all departments and the Quality Head for continuous quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• GNM / B.Sc Nursing / P.B.B.Sc Nursing

• Valid registration with Maharashtra Nursing Council (MNC)

• 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience, with exposure to quality or NABH work preferred

• Working knowledge of NABH standards, quality indicators and documentation

• Strong documentation, analytical and report-writing skills

• Good command of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

• Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with multiple departments

• NABH / Quality certification will be an added advantage
