JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring all products meet consistent, high-quality standards, monitoring products at various production stages, preparing related documentation, and helping maintain the quality assurance program to company standards. .

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Support the quality management system (QMS)
• Assist in the development and continuous improvement of core processes
• Perform receiving, in-process and final inspections, witness manufacturing tests to ensure products adhere to company quality standards
• Prepare final product documentation, including calibration certificates, Certificates of Conformance, customer specific MRBs
• Document, maintain, and participate in resolving customer complaints, non-conformances, corrective/preventive actions
• Assist in the development of company procedures and work instructions
• Ensure adherence to provincial legal, health and safety standards
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing

WHAT DO I NEED TO SUCCEED?

• Three (3) to five (5) years production, manufacturing or related experience in an ISO 9001 environment
• Knowledge and understanding of applicable industry standards would be an asset (API Q1, API 6A)
• ISO 9001 auditing experience; Lead or Internal Auditor
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 requirements would be an asset
• Knowledge of NDE inspections would be an asset
• University or technical degree in engineering or sciences preferred
• An equivalent combination of education and experience, or training may be considered
• Analysis, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate under deadlines while still meeting company standards
• Knowledge of and experience in QMS auditing
• Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods
• Knowledge of and experience in implementing best practices and continuous improvement
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with aptitude to learn new systems
