Position Overview

Our client has an immediate opportunity for a Catalog QA Tester to join their team in Rochester, NY, supporting innovative photofinishing products and eCommerce experiences.

The Catalog QA Tester ensures that products displayed on the company's eCommerce platforms are accurately represented and function as intended throughout the customer purchasing journey. This role combines digital software testing with hands-on product validation to verify that finished products match what customers configured, ordered, and saw advertised online.

You will collaborate with Product Design, Project Management, Software Development, Marketing, and Quality Engineering teams to validate product configurations, pricing, promotions, imagery, and content across web and mobile platforms.

The role also involves placing customer orders, producing and assembling products, and inspecting finished items to ensure they meet quality standards and customer expectations.

Please note: This is an on-site contract position in Henrietta, NY. Key Responsibilities

• Test and validate new products and product launches across web and mobile platforms.
• Verify product presentation, configuration options, imagery, and content against design specifications and business requirements.
• Test new product templates, layouts, and personalization experiences.
• Place customer orders and perform end-to-end testing of the purchasing experience.
• Produce, assemble, and inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Validate product categorization, merchandising, and catalog organization.
• Verify product pricing, discounts, promotions, and pricing updates.
• Identify, document, track, and report defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Marketing, and Engineering teams to resolve catalog and product quality issues.
• Communicate testing progress and potential risks to project timelines or quality goals during Agile team meetings.
• Champion quality throughout the product development and testing process.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA), eCommerce operations, catalog management, product content management, merchandising, or a related field.
• Experience testing and validating customer-facing eCommerce experiences across web and mobile platforms.
• Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM), Digital Asset Management (DAM), or product catalog systems.
• Experience verifying product data accuracy, including descriptions, images, pricing, categories, product variants, and promotional offers.
• Experience with end-to-end order validation, from product configuration and purchase through fulfillment and delivery verification.
• Ability to document defects, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies between design specifications, catalog data, and finished products.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with test documentation tools.
• Experience working with Agile development teams and defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with order management, fulfillment, or print production.
• Background in photo products, print products, consumer retail, or eCommerce environments involving configurable products.
• Experience with cross-browser and mobile device testing.

Compensation $30.76-$38.45 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

Work Location

Henrietta, NY (Rochester area). This is an on-site contract position.
