Quality Supervisor

Our client, an FMCG food-manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Quality Supervisor to oversee daily quality-control activities across its production operations.

The successful candidate will ensure that raw materials, production processes and finished products meet approved specifications and that GMP, HACCP and food-safety requirements are followed on the factory floor.

02Key responsibilities

• Supervise in-process inspections and product sampling across production stages.
• Oversee laboratory testing of raw materials, packaging and finished products.
• Verify incoming materials against approved quality specifications.
• Review batch records and support finished-product release.
• Conduct GMP, hygiene and sanitation audits.
• Monitor critical control points and maintain HACCP records.
• Verify cleaning, sanitation and allergen-control processes.
• Support internal, regulatory and customer audits.
• Identify and document non-conforming materials or products.
• Investigate quality deviations and customer complaints.
• Support root-cause analyses and corrective-action implementation.
• Assign duties to QC inspectors and laboratory analysts.
• Train quality and production personnel on testing and quality standards.
• Ensure testing and laboratory equipment remains properly calibrated.
• Manage retention samples and quality documentation.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports covering rejects, rework and complaints.
• Enforce laboratory and factory safety requirements.

03What we are looking for

• BSc or HND in Food Science and Technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a related discipline.
• Three to five years of quality-control or quality-assurance experience within food or FMCG manufacturing.
• At least one year of experience in a quality supervisory position.
• Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP and NAFDAC requirements.
• HACCP or food-safety certification is an advantage.
• Practical knowledge of laboratory-testing methods and quality tools.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Ability to supervise and influence production teams.
• Strong problem-solving and product-hold judgement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Willingness to work shifts, extended hours or weekends when required.

Monthly Gross Salary: ₦200,000–₦400,000

Pay: From ₦200,000.00 per month
