Quality System Manager

About the role

A Quality System Manager designs, maintains, and improves an organization's Quality Management System (QMS). To ensure company processes, products, and services meet legal rules, industry standards like ISO 9001, and customer expectations. Need to lead internal audits, track performance data, and fix workflow problems.

Key responsibilities

• QMS ownership & maintenance - establish, update, and manage QMS to ensure complete alignment with ISO standards and regulations.
• Audit Management - plan and execute internal audit programs. Lead external certification bodies, customer audits, and supplier quality evaluations.
• Corrective & Preventive Action: Oversee root-cause investigations for manufacturing defects using 8D, fishbone analysis, and statistical tools.
• Document & Change Control: Manage the Document Control Center (DCC), reviewing Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and controlling PCM to ensure production line changes meet quality criteria.
• Management Reporting: Facilitate regular Management Review Meetings, reporting on quality metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train staff on quality rules and safety protocols.
• Review customer feedback and resolve quality complaints.
• Work with different departments to drive continuous improvement.
• Cleanroom & ESD Compliance: Oversee adherence to strict cleanroom classifications (e.g., Class 10K/1K/100) and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls across automated assembly lines.
• Traceability Assurance: Maintain full component serialization tracking within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to handle targeted containment during quality excursions.

About you

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Quality Management.
• 5 to 8+ years managing QMS within high-volume electronics, semiconductor, or data storage manufacturing environments.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt highly preferred.
• Certified knowledge on Quality system like ISO, BCMS, RBA, etc. is highly preferred.
