Quality Systems Engineer

Quality Systems Engineer | Toledo, OH

Contract | $46–$47/hr | 1st shift (weekend flexibility)

Summary : Join the quality team at a Toledo manufacturing facility producing front and rear axles for next-generation vehicle programs. You'll own quality systems — CMM programming, metrology, PPAP, audits, and continuous improvement — working across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.

What you'll do:

• Develop/maintain CMM programs; dimensional analysis and measurement data for validation and problem-solving

• Manage customer & supplier PPAP submissions, approvals, annual revalidations

• Coordinate engineering/process changes — validation, documentation, customer approvals

• Administer plant calibration systems; maintain lab equipment

• Own internal audit function and documentation change management

• Cross-functional PFMEAs, control plans, work instructions; MSA and capability studies

• Support quality audits, corrective actions, customer visits and reviews

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) — 2–5 yrs experience

• CMM programming, dimensional metrology, GD&T, measurement analysis

• PPAP/APQP, engineering change management, AIAG Core Tools

• Calibration systems, IMTE experience

• IATF 16949, ISO 9001 working knowledge

• FMEAs, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Actions

• Quality statistics — Minitab or similar

Nice to have: ASQ CQE, automotive manufacturing, IATF 16949 Certified Quality Auditor (or attainable within a year)
