- Documentation: Document inspection results, non-conformances, and test data accurately and completely in quality management systems.
- Issue Tracking: Initiate and track non-conformance reports (NCRs) and support root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Material Handling: Safely lift and handle heavy components and assemblies, up to 50 lbs, as part of daily operations.
- Calibration: Maintain and verify calibration of inspection tools and test equipment.
- Process Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring defects and recommending process improvements.
- Communication: Communicate inspection findings clearly to production, engineering, and management teams.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in a quality, manufacturing, or inspection role.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly inspection and torque wrench application.
- Familiarity with hydrostatic or pressure testing procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T callouts, and assembly work instructions.
- Experience inspecting weldments and knowledge of basic weld quality criteria (AWS D1.1 or equivalent a plus).
- Proficient with basic measurement tools including tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and work in a manufacturing floor environment.
- Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Additional Skills
