Hours can be flexible between 6am-4pm Monday-Friday.

Essential Functions

1. Examines material or product for surface defects or non-conformity, using gauges, coordinate measuring machine, scales, etc., prior to shipment.

2. Tests incoming raw materials, in process, and final.

3. Compares product with sample part/piece to ensure quality.

4. Verifies specified dimensions of product or material.

5. Rejects defective parts, and marks type of defect on part, container of parts, or inspection tag.

6. Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance and mechanical characteristics.

7. Operates any diagnostic equipment needed to perform job.

8. Maintains all quality records and documentation in accordance with the quality manual and specific customer requirements.

9. Promotes and executes quality standards, inspection processes, and test methodology quality plans, documents and reports. Assists in process certification.

10. Reports to management on quality issues, trends and losses.

11. Conducts internal quality audits.

12. Oversees established calibration and testing programs.

13. Assists the Quality Manager and provides QA support as necessary.

14. Examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.

15. Handles inquiries in a prompt and efficient manner.

16. Communicates effectively to employees, visitors, customers, and other departments.
