What they need

The Company

Our client is an innovative and rapidly growing manufacturer operating within the health, wellbeing and consumer products sector. With a strong reputation for quality, scientific excellence and continuous improvement, they have built a loyal customer base and are continuing to invest heavily in both people and operations.

As part of their continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their technical function with the appointment of a Quality Technologist. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative business where quality plays a central role in everything they do.

The Role

Reporting into the Technical team, you'll be the key link between Quality and Operations, providing hands-on support across the manufacturing process and helping to ensure products are made right first time.

This is a highly visible role where you'll spend significant time within the production environment, working closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality Control teams. You'll be responsible for monitoring standards, supporting investigations, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring quality and food safety requirements are consistently achieved.

You'll play an important role in maintaining factory standards through regular inspections, process verification activities and documentation reviews, whilst also supporting the investigation of non-conformances, complaints and process deviations. Working across multiple departments, you'll help drive corrective actions, support continuous improvement projects and contribute to creating a strong quality culture throughout the site.

This position would suit someone who enjoys being close to the manufacturing process, is naturally curious when solving problems and wants to develop broad technical experience within a growing business.

The Candidate

We're looking for a motivated quality professional with experience within food, drink, FMCG, biotechnology or another regulated manufacturing environment. You may already be working as a Quality Technologist, QA Supervisor, Quality Coordinator or in a factory-based technical role and be looking for an opportunity that offers greater exposure across the wider operation.

You will have a good understanding of GMP, HACCP, food safety and quality management systems, together with experience investigating non-conformances, reviewing production records and supporting day-to-day manufacturing activities. Equally important is the ability to build strong working relationships, communicate effectively with operational teams and influence positive behaviours on the factory floor.

The successful candidate will be organised, proactive and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach. You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities whilst maintaining a strong focus on product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious quality professional looking to broaden their technical expertise and develop their career within a business where quality is genuinely valued and recognised.

Please note: Due to the site's location, access to your own transport will be required as public transport options are limited.

We want you to bring your genuine self to the process, so if you need any adjustments, physical or otherwise, to help you through the application or interview, just tell us and we'll put them in place.

At Blue Spark Organisation we believe in authenticity, individuality and inclusion. Everyone who applies to us, now or in future, belongs at the table. We're committed to treating people with respect and appreciation, so they can show up as themselves, regardless of background, appearance, sexual orientation or beliefs.
