We're looking for a Junior Quantexa Engineer to join a growing delivery team, building and maintaining entity resolution and network analytics solutions on the Quantexa platform. You'll work alongside senior engineers and data scientists to turn raw, siloed client data into a single connected view that drives investigations, risk decisions and operational insight. Candidates must already have hands-on Quantexa experience, gained either as a consultant or within an in-house/industry team.
Responsibilities:
- Configure and build data pipelines, entity resolution models and network analytics within the Quantexa platform
- Profile, cleanse, map and load structured and unstructured client source data
- Support senior engineers in designing and implementing resolution rules, scoring models and dynamic risk assessments
- Write and maintain Scala/Spark code for data transformation and processing within the pipeline
- Test, debug and validate pipeline outputs against business and client requirements
- Document technical designs, data mappings and configuration decisions
- Work with data scientists, analysts and client stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Support deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting of Quantexa solutions in test and production environments
- Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement of delivery practices
Essential Skills & Experience
- Essential: hands-on Quantexa platform experience (pipeline configuration, entity resolution, network analytics), gained either as a consultant or in an industry/in-house role.
- Working knowledge of Scala and/or Java, with exposure to Apache Spark
- Comfortable writing SQL and working with large, complex, multi-source datasets
- Understanding of data modelling, data quality and entity resolution concepts
- Experience with version control (Git) and working within an Agile delivery team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail when working with sensitive data
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Quantexa platform certification (e.g. Quantexa Certified Engineer)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP), particularly their data services
- Exposure to Python for data analysis or automation
- Knowledge of graph theory or network analysis concepts
- Experience in financial services, insurance, government or another regulated sector
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience configuring the Quantexa front-end/webapp layer
The detail:
- Hybrid working: typically 2–3 days per week on site, with the remaining time worked remotely
- Based in most parts of the UK. Candidates should be within a reasonable commute of a relevant client or office site, with occasional travel to other UK sites depending on the engagement
- Standard UK right-to-work checks apply
