What they need
About SCRYPT
SCRYPT is the operating system for digital assets.
Banks, asset managers, family offices, fintechs, and payment service providers run on SCRYPT — for trading, custody, asset management, and settlement. Regulated in Switzerland, operating globally, built for scale.
About the Role
We’re hiring a mid-level Quantitative Trader / Analyst to help design, build, and run SCRYPT Digital Investments’ live trading strategies across crypto and traditional markets. The role can span market-neutral and relative-value strategies (funding and basis arbitrage, spot-perp delta-neutral, statistical arbitrage), systematic directional strategies (trend/CTA), and cash-and-carry structures across both crypto derivatives and traditional futures markets.
This is a hands-on seat: you’ll own research, execution logic, and day-to-day risk monitoring on live capital - not a back-office analyst role. You’ll report into the asset management leadership team and work closely with execution, operations, and compliance to take strategies from idea to production.
The Bar
Small team, senior bar, AI-native by default. We hire builders who ship, not managers who maintain. One great hire beats three average ones, so we hold the bar even when the seat is empty. Ownership from week one. Velocity from day one. If you need a long runway before you contribute, this isn’t the role.
Responsibilities
- Strategy research & development - design, backtest, and refine quantitative strategies across funding/basis arbitrage, spot-perp delta-neutral, statistical arbitrage, and systematic trend/CTA approaches.
- Live trading & execution - manage and execute positions across multiple venues and asset classes, including position sizing, rebalancing, and roll management for dated futures and perpetuals; identify and implement improvements to live strategies, from execution efficiency to collateral and venue optimisation.
- Market-neutral & relative-value strategies - contribute directly to signal development, execution, and monitoring for delta-neutral and basis/arbitrage-style strategies across crypto and traditional derivatives.
- Risk & monitoring - build and maintain real-time P&L, exposure, and funding-rate monitoring; define and enforce drawdown, leverage, and concentration limits in line with Scrypt Digital Investments’ risk framework.
- Cross-asset perspective - bring traditional finance discipline (derivatives, futures basis, rates) to crypto strategy design, and identify where TradFi techniques (CTA/trend, statistical arbitrage, relative value) transfer to digital assets.
- Documentation & reporting - produce clear strategy write-ups, performance attribution, and risk reporting suitable for internal governance, investment committee, and institutional prospect due diligence.
Requirements
- 3–6 years in quantitative trading, systematic strategy, or quant research - at a fund, prop firm, bank, or crypto-native desk.
- Verifiable track record: specific strategies you built or traded, with real, independently verifiable performance (audited, exchange/broker statements, or equivalent).
- Direct experience in at least one of: funding/basis arbitrage, cash-and-carry, statistical arbitrage, systematic trend/CTA, or market-neutral relative value.
- Ideally across both crypto derivatives (perpetuals, dated futures) and traditional futures/derivatives (e.g. CME) - this role bridges both.
- Strong quant foundation: statistics, time-series analysis, portfolio construction.
- Python (or equivalent) for research, backtesting, and analysis, including order-book/tick-level data.
- Exchange mechanics: funding rates, margin systems, basis/roll dynamics, execution/slippage costs.
- Risk metrics (Sharpe, drawdown, VaR) and how they map to position sizing and limits.
- Thrives in a lean, fast-moving team, owning outcomes end-to-end rather than handing off between siloed desks.
- Direct, precise communicator - explains strategy and risk clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including regulators and institutional counterparties.
- High integrity on risk and compliance: a regulated, licensed business where judgment matters as much as returns.
Why Choose SCRYPT
- Real ownership of a function - not a slot in someone else’s org chart
- A team where AI tooling is native, not a “transformation initiative”
- Direct access to founders, board, and clients. Flat hierarchy, no middle layers
- Meaningful equity in a Series A institutional crypto company building toward unicorn scale
- Swiss-anchored, globally operating - regulatory rigor where it matters, volume where it counts
Next Steps
Please submit a CV together with a summary of your trading/strategy track record - strategies traded, approximate AUM, realised performance, and verification source (audited statements, exchange records, or a prior employer reference).
