Who We Are

MA Capital US LLC is a proprietary trading firm specializing in systematic and high-performing discretionary strategies across multiple asset classes. We leverage advanced technology, quantitative research, and sophisticated models to capitalize on opportunities in global markets. Our culture is built on innovation, efficiency, and transparency, with a strong focus on ownership, collaboration, and disciplined risk management.

Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Quantitative Trader to help manage and grow our index options market-making business. Our core infrastructure is already in place, including market data, pricing models, risk systems, execution capabilities, and a live market-making platform.

This is a hands-on trading role with significant ownership of the day-to-day operation and continued development of the market-making strategy. You will manage live positions and risk, make real-time trading decisions, and work closely with quantitative researchers and engineers to improve pricing, quoting, execution, hedging, and overall trading performance.

MA Capital employs individuals with a passion for innovation and solving hard problems. If you’re looking for a firm where you can take ownership, work closely with talented researchers and engineers, and directly influence the growth of an options trading business, MA Capital is your home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Live Trading & Risk Management: Manage the day-to-day operation of the index options market-making system, including positions, P&L, inventory, Greeks, margin, and market exposure.
  • Quoting & Hedging: Make real-time decisions around quoting, sizing, skew, edge, inventory, and hedging while managing delta, gamma, vega, term structure, and event risk.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze fills, markouts, spread capture, adverse selection, hedge costs, and P&L attribution to identify opportunities to improve trading performance.
  • Research Collaboration: Partner with quantitative researchers to evaluate pricing models, signals, and strategy changes before deployment.
  • Technology Collaboration: Work closely with engineers to improve pricing, quoting, execution, monitoring, and automated risk controls.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and improve hedging strategies and identify opportunities to expand and enhance the market-making platform.

Required Qualifications

  • Options Trading: 3–5 years of professional options trading experience, with meaningful experience in index options market making.
  • Index & Volatility Products: Direct experience trading SPX, VIX, ES options, or closely related index and volatility products.
  • Automated Trading: Experience operating an automated or semi-automated options market-making system.
  • Options Expertise: Strong understanding of options pricing, implied volatility, volatility surfaces, skew, term structure, and Greeks.
  • Risk Management: Practical experience managing delta, gamma, vega, inventory, event risk, and hedging.
  • Market Microstructure: Strong understanding of quoting, spread capture, adverse selection, execution, and hedging costs.
  • P&L Analysis: Ability to analyze live trading P&L and make effective decisions using both data and real-time market information.
  • Research & Engineering Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with quantitative researchers and engineers to improve trading systems and performance.

Nice to Have

  • Firm Background: Experience at a leading proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or market-making firm.
  • Options Experience: Experience with 0DTE or short-dated index options, volatility surface and skew trading, or index volatility strategies.
  • Trading & Execution: Experience with inventory-based quoting, electronic execution, and options market microstructure.
  • Hedging & Risk: Experience with futures and options hedging, automated trading controls, and risk management systems.

Why Join Us?

  • Trading Ownership: Take meaningful ownership of live trading decisions and the continued growth of our index options market-making business.
  • Technology & Research: Work directly with quantitative researchers and engineers to improve a sophisticated trading platform.
  • Startup Environment: Agile and entrepreneurial culture with significant ownership, autonomy, and direct impact.
  • Global Platform: Work within a growing proprietary trading firm with access to global markets, technology, and research capabilities.
  • Comprehensive Health Coverage: Includes medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan: Helping you and your family plan for a secure financial future.
