Quantitative Trading System Engineer/Developer/Programmer/Senior

Our client is now looking for talent to join their team:

Summary:

l   We are looking for a Quantitative Trading System Engineer (Prefer Senior/ More Experienced candidate with strong relevant technical hands-on skills) to develop and maintain automated trading strategies in the cryptocurrency derivatives market, and to participate in building real‑time, low‑latency trading systems. You will work closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and infrastructure engineers to optimize pricing logic, trade execution, risk control, and overall system stability.

l   Our team has backgrounds in trading, quant, engineering, and finance, and our product leans toward institutional trading systems and infrastructure.

l   We're looking for engineers who can dive deep into core trading system development—especially those with experience in trading systems, low‑latency systems, financial systems, or order/matching/market data/risk/cash flow pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

l   Develop and maintain automated trading strategies and related trading systems.

l   Participate in the development of pricing logic, hedging logic, position management, and risk control modules.

l   Optimize order placement, cancellation, trade execution, and exception‑handling workflows.

l   Process real‑time market data, order‑book data, trade data, funding rates, and other trading‑related information.

l   Build and maintain monitoring tools covering PnL, positions, risk, latency, exchange connectivity status, etc.

l   Assist traders and quantitative researchers in analysing strategy performance, identifying issues, and driving continuous improvements.

l   Maintain exchange API connections to ensure reliable streaming of market data, order placement, and trade fills.

l   Investigate and resolve trading anomalies, system failures, position discrepancies, and risk‑control incidents.

Requirements:

l   Proficiency in at least one programming language – C++ / Rust is preferred.

l   Hands‑on experience in automated trading, market making, quantitative trading, or trading system development.

l   Solid understanding of order books, bid‑ask spreads, slippage, fills, cancellations, and position risk.

l   Familiarity with cryptocurrency exchanges, perpetual swaps, funding rates, margin mechanisms, etc.

l   Ability to write robust, clean, and maintainable code.

l   Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly locate issues in live systems or trading anomalies.

l   Genuine interest in trading and markets, and willingness to understand why strategies generate profits or losses.

l   Sense of ownership and ability to drive tasks to completion in a fast‑paced environment.

l   Solid, recent production‑level experience in the relevant core tech stack—not just early‑stage or superficial usage. We value real technical depth, complex system architecture, and the ability to solve production issues. Not looking for purely managerial or coordination‑focused people.

Nice‑to‑Have:

l   Experience in crypto market making, HFT, proprietary trading, or quantitative trading.

l   Familiarity with exchange APIs of Binance, OKX, Bybit, Deribit, Coinbase, etc.

l   Experience in developing low‑latency trading systems.

l   Knowledge of basis trading, statistical arbitrage, cross‑exchange trading, hedging, or risk management systems.

l   Experience with backtesting systems, trading simulation, data analysis, or strategy research.
