Quantity Estimator Engineer

We are looking for a Quantity Estimator Engineer with strong experience in construction estimation, quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, and cost analysis. The ideal candidate should be able to review drawings, prepare accurate project estimates, obtain supplier/subcontractor quotations, and support the commercial and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Prepare and review BOQs, material quantities, labor requirements, and project cost estimates.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine quantities and pricing.
• Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare tender estimates, rate analysis, and cost breakdowns.
• Assist in pricing variations, additional works, and project changes.
• Coordinate with procurement, site, engineering, and project teams regarding material and quantity requirements.
• Monitor material costs, subcontractor rates, and market prices.
• Maintain accurate estimation and costing records.
• Support preparation of tender submissions and commercial proposals.
• Identify discrepancies in drawings, BOQs, and specifications and report them accordingly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in construction estimation, quantity surveying, or cost estimation.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, rate analysis, and construction materials.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and estimation/costing tools.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Experience in Bahrain/GCC construction projects is preferred.
• Immediate joiner.
