Quantity Surveyor Assistant

Job Descriptions:

1. Assist in preparing cost estimates for construction projects

2. Help in the preparation of tender documents, bills of quantities (BQ), and quotations.

3. Collect and verify pricing from suppliers and subcontractors

4. Perform quantity take-offs based on drawings and specifications

5. Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BQ)

6. Assist in evaluating variation orders (VO) and progress claims

7. Ensure all claims are supported with proper documentation (site measurement, delivery records, approvals).

8. Conduct site visits for measurement and progress verification

9. Assist in monitoring project progress against budget

10. Coordinate with site team, engineers, and contractors

11. Assist in preparing interim valuation and progress payment certificates

12. Assist senior QS in daily administrative tasks

13. Check and evaluate contractor claims based on site progress, work done, and contract terms.

14. Maintain proper records of all claims, payments, contract documentation and deductions

15. Assist in preparing final account claims and closing project accounts

Requirements:

• Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• 1 years of relevant experience preferred; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of tendering, costing, BOQ, VO, claims and progress payment.
• Able to read construction drawings and perform quantity measurement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Good analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
• Willing to travel to project sites.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
