Quantity Surveyor (Central / West)

Job Summary

As a CBRE Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial and contracts administration support for fit work / reinstatement works.

What You'll Do :

• Prepare cost estimation (including verifying subcontractors’, vendors’, specialists’ submissions), endorse and ensure timely submission to the Client for approval.
• Prepare financial projection and carry out budgetary and expenditure control of Contractor’s works.
• Prepare Contractor’s monthly payment claims and final account for the Contract and ensure timely and complete submissions to the Client for payment, including all supporting documents and evidence.
• Evaluate and carry out site measurements where necessary, with claims for Work Orders.
• Compile all payment claims, interim certificates, Work Orders and invoices and ensure timely submission to the Client for payment.
• Review and prepare specifications, evaluate, and recommend tender submissions and carry out contract documentation where required by the Client.
• Evaluate and verify that “star rate items” before the start of works, are reasonable and in accordance with fair market prices for the Client’s acceptance.
• Collate all-star rates and quotation rates, analyse, and review them to feed forward for future procurement.

What You'll Need:

• Minimum Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related Construction subject
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Candidates that are a registered member with SISV will have an added advantage.
• Familiarity with local market knowledge of pricing trends for fit out works
• Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word and the ability to use specialist commercial software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving has the ability to confidently work through problems and find solutions
• Able to work in a team. Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness and enthusiasm to learn and be guided by Senior Managers and stays up to date with the latest industry information
